This year there were over 250 nominees for the BBB Torch Award. We’re honored to be a Better Business Bureau 2017 Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics honorable mention recipient.
About the Torch Award
The BBB Torch Award recognizes businesses for their belief in marketplace ethics, integration into everyday business practices and active promotion of ethics in customer, employee, and vendor relationships. Businesses must also foster trust in their communities. The Torch Award evaluates award applicants based on six criteria. These are:

– Communication of Ethical Practices
– Leadership Practices to Unify the Organization
– Organizational Commitment to Performance Management Practices
– Organizational Commitment to Ethical Human Resource Practices
– Organizational Commitment to the Community

Be excellent to everyone. It’s a simple way to sum-up how BFO CEO Steve Krull and President Dan Golden believe business should be conducted. This belief has been BFO’s guiding principle since the company’s founding in 2009. The results since then show it works.
