The Chicago-area digital marketing community came together Friday, October 17th, at Be Found Online’s first-ever charity event. In a night of fun, food, and craft beer, we had a great time connecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and doing something awesome together.
For anyone who missed it, Beeftoberfest was our first annual charity bash in Lakeview. Guests played games and participated in challenges to win points for a charity of their choice, all while enjoying local craft beer, great food, and awesome company.
We are happy to announce that together we managed to raise $3,100 for the Autism Society of Illinois, the charity that won the most votes. We’d like to thank everyone for the support and generous donations, and for an evening full of good times.
Our President, Dan Golden, had this to say about Friday’s event: “Beeftoberfest confirmed our theory that enjoying beverages, food, and merriment with our friends and partners is a good thing. It also taught us that most people don’t quite understand the name, since this event had everything to do with Oktoberfest and charity, but nothing to do with cows! At Be Found Online, we like to call ourselves ‘Beefers,’ so the party name made complete sense to our team.
“We probably lost a few vegetarians who would have loved attending,” he added. “And that would also explain the pounds and pounds of delicious Berghoff House salad leftover from our buffet!”
Be Found Online is excited for what we hope will be many more years of fun, successful Beeftoberfest events. We’re happy to be a part of such a passionate community and to have the opportunity to connect with friends, clients, partners, and vendors on a personal level.
