Last week at the 2014 Internet Summit in Raleigh, NC, over 2,000 people gathered to talk and learn about the latest trends in digital marketing. This year’s summit was a huge success, and attendance was higher than ever.
BFO helped sponsor the event’s welcome reception, giving us the opportunity to get to know plenty of awesome new people. We had a blast at the BFO table set-up—and we rocked our orange blazers, of course!
Our very own Dan Golden (President and Chief Search Artist) delivered his presentation, Multi-Channel Attribution & the Digital Media Food Pyramid, to a packed room. Dan discussed the right questions to ask before developing your 2015 digital media plan. The informative presentation, available now on SlideShare, received great feedback from the crowd, who called it inspirational and very helpful. One awesome point Dan made was that “the consumer path to purchase looks like a bowl of spaghetti,” as he explained consumers consult an average of 10 sources before making a purchase. A video of the presentation can also be seen on our YouTube channel.
The day was full of other highlights, too. Dan had the opportunity to meet Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, a very friendly and laid-back guy. During their meet-and-greet, Woz autographed Dan’s actual apple, saying it was only the third apple he’s ever signed.
After the event, we caught up with old Raleigh friends over a delightful BBQ dinner. It was an awesome experience, and we made a lot of new friends as well at this year’s Internet Summit. We’re already looking forward to Internet Summit 2015!
