Basis, the most comprehensive media automation and intelligence platform in the industry, approached us with the challenge of a complete company rebrand - a rebrand that included a domain name change for the client!
THE CHALLENGE
Some of the hardest marketing problems aren’t about getting found. They’re about proving what your media dollars are doing. For 15 years, Arizona Tile, a premium tile, stone, and slab distributor, bought digital against the two metrics agencies were historically built to deliver: brand awareness and site traffic. Those metrics can be challenging to link directly to sales.
The complexity made it worse. A full-funnel journey across multiple states and two distinct audiences, homeowners and trade, was too long and too fragmented for any single channel report to tell the truth. Every dollar was accountable to traffic.
The real challenge was to provide measurement with meaning. And the client couldn’t have asked for the fix, because the language for it didn’t exist yet.
THE BFO APPROACH
This is sustained, diagnostic-led marketing. Not a three-month engagement or a quarterly campaign, but a continuous operating system built on the BlueFrame method: Diagnose, Build, Execute, deepening for over 15 years.
Growth Alignment Diagnosis
Mapped the Growth Alignment Framework across all locations. Technical SEO audits across site speed, canonicals, redirects, and sitemap integrity; channel-by-channel baselines; and audience composition resolved market-by-market. The core finding: none of the spend was accountable to the showroom appointment.
Successful Attribution Infrastructure
Stood up the tracking foundation everything downstream relies on: Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Analytics, and Google Tag Manager, wired to capture the moments that actually predict revenue.
Monthly Executive Reporting
A monthly reporting cadence that ran 22+ consecutive months by 2022 and still runs today, giving leadership a read they can trust and repeat.
Content & Local Engine
An active presence on multiple social channels, quarterly blog approvals tied to ranking gaps, and local infrastructure (Yext, Yelp, GMB) maintained across every market.
Strategic Advisory
When a competitor moves, a vendor pitches, or a reputation issue surfaces, the client emails us and gets a researched answer. The partnership operates as an extension of the team.
Always-On Full-Funnel Media
Paid search, SEO and content, and programmatic CTV/OTT and Display (including Houzz on a seasonal cadence), spanning awareness, consideration, and action in every metro.
Channel Expansion as the Audience Matured
Paid social added in 2022 as a test and retained on budget; NextDoor and Reddit added in 2025 as the audience grew into them.
Diagnostic-Driven Market Plays
New-location launches, a focused push for locations when the data flagged them as underperforming, and a targeted response when a competitor closed a regional location.
THE RESULTS
Metrics that Matter
The work didn’t just run. It became readable, and the proof showed up where it matters most:
|
15+ YEARS PARTNERED |
24 MARKETS OPERATED |
22+ MONTHS REPORTING |
13% TOP MARKET APPT RATE |
Request-an-Appointment Rate, By Market
| Market | Request-an-appointment % |
| Anaheim | 13% |
| Austin | 10% |
| Dallas | 8% |
| Phoenix | 8% |
| Albuquerque | 7% |
| Denver | 6% |
| Palm Desert | 1% |
The spread is the diagnosis. A twelve-point delta between top and bottom isn’t a reporting artifact. It’s a roadmap, telling Arizona Tile exactly where to invest, where to investigate, and where the next gain is hiding.
We don’t see what happens after visits to the showroom. That’s their data. But the funnel up to the appointment, which used to be invisible, now isn’t. For context, arizonatile.com drew 1,519,471 users in 2023, and growth has compounded across multiple competitive cycles, market openings, and platform transitions.
THE RESULTS
Operating Confidence
Market-level resolution turns running into operating. When a metro underperforms, we know which one and what to do. When a competitor closes a regional location, we know what the opportunity is worth. When a new market opens, we know what baseline to expect, because we have historical data to compare against.
We didn’t build this for Arizona Tile and watch growth follow. We built it with them, as the measurement layer that finally made the growth legible.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Especially for Premium Brands
If you run marketing for a premium home-improvement brand, you’ve probably been asked for brand awareness and traffic. Those are metrics most agencies were built to deliver. They’re not the metrics your business is measured on.
So before any pitch, any proposal, any new vendor, ask this: what’s the smallest digital unit in our funnel that actually maps to revenue?
For high-consideration brands, it’s a number of factors. It's the overall traffic to locations. It’s the showroom appointment. The consultation booking. The sample request. The qualified call. If your agency can’t tell you that number by market, you don’t have a measurement problem in the abstract. You have measurement that lacks meaning, wrapped around a funnel too complex to interpret without it.
THE PARTNERSHIP
Fifteen years in, Arizona Tile doesn’t ask BFO what to measure. They trust us to already know, and to bring the read before the question gets asked.
That’s how we work. We treat your budgets, goals, and results as if they were our own. We conquer the complicated so you don’t have to. Diagnosis finds the gaps. Growth proves we closed them. Rest easy, we’ve got this.
The results have been great. Their analytics are very impressive, and we’re pleased with the growth that we continue to see [...] It’s been a great partnership, and we really do consider them an extension of our internal team."
